Home automation that works every day, for years.

Lighting, shades, audio, video, security and climate, designed as one system around the way you live and supported by a local team in Los Angeles and the South Bay.

What it is

A home that does what you expect, every time.

Home automation ties the systems in your home together so they work as one. Done well, you stop thinking about the technology. The lights are right for the moment, the shades are where they should be, and everyone in the house, including guests, knows how to use it.

Most online advice stops at Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home and DIY hubs. Those are fine for renters and hobbyists. We design professional systems for homeowners who want something that works every day, and a local team to call when something changes.

One system, not ten apps

Lighting, shades, audio, video and more are designed to work together, with one set of controls instead of a drawer full of remotes.

Built to keep running

Professionally installed Lutron and Crestron systems keep running scenes, keypads and schedules locally. Remote access from your phone pauses if the internet goes down, and returns when it does.

Supported by people you know

A local team designs it, installs it, trains your household and stays on call after the install through our Client Concierge Plan.

What it controls

Every system in the home, in one place.

You choose how much to bring together. Some homes start with lighting and shades, others run everything on this list from a single interface.

Lighting

Dimmers, keypads and scenes that make every room look right at every hour. Engraved keypads let guests understand the controls without an app.

Shades

Motorized shades that open, close and set themselves with the day. Paired with lighting, they create sunrise, sunset and privacy scenes.

Audio

Ceiling and in wall speakers, outdoor audio and whole home music, controlled from the same place as everything else.

Video and theater

TVs, projectors and dedicated theaters with simple controls, clean wiring and equipment kept out of sight.

Climate

Climate control folded into your scenes, so comfort follows the way your household actually moves through the day.

Security and cameras

Camera systems you can check remotely, designed and set up to stay reliable rather than becoming another app to babysit.

Entry and access

Video intercoms, door stations and gates, so you can see and answer who is at the door from wherever you are in the house.

Networking

The wired and wireless network behind it all. Every system on this page depends on a network that does not drop.

The systems we design

Crestron, Lutron and Josh.ai, or a smart plan for later.

There is no single best ecosystem, only the best fit for your home and lifestyle. We design, install and support all three, and we are just as glad to prewire a home that skips automation for now.

Crestron

One system running lighting, shades, climate, audio, video, security and gates from one interface. It works well in small and large homes, and it is the choice when you want a single button to set the whole house for movie night, dinner or bedtime.

  • One app and one set of touch panels for every system
  • Deep, custom programming that adapts to how your family lives
  • Works with Lutron lighting and Josh.ai voice control

Lutron

Lutron keypads, dimmers and motorized shades are known for reliability, clean design and lighting that simply looks better. For many homes, great lighting and shades are 80% of the experience people want from automation.

  • Caséta: the entry point for a few rooms, easy to add to an existing home
  • RadioRA 3: a full home lighting and shade system with engraved keypads and scenes
  • HomeWorks: the flagship for luxury homes, with the most design and control options

Josh.ai

A voice and control platform built for luxury homes, with privacy as a core promise. It sits on top of systems like Lutron and Crestron, so you can say “turn on the kitchen and close the shades” in one natural sentence instead of memorizing commands.

  • Understands rooms, scenes and multiple requests at once
  • Privacy focused, with no ad business behind it
  • Discreet microphones and speakers that blend into the home

No automation, with smart prewiring

Skipping automation is a valid choice. A well wired home with great networking, quality switches and good audio and video can feel modern without any automation at all, with nothing to maintain and nothing for guests to learn.

  • Nothing to maintain, no subscriptions and no cloud outages
  • Prewire now and every option above stays open later
  • Adding wiring later means opening up finished walls

Our advice: if you are building or remodeling, prewire even if you automate nothing.

How to choose

Three questions cut through most of the noise.

The names overlap and advice depends on who is giving it. Stop asking which brand is best, and ask what you want your home to do and who will keep it working.

  1. What do you want to control?Start with the list: lighting, shades, audio, video, climate, security and more. The more you want working together, the more a single control system makes sense.
  2. Are you building, remodeling, or living in the home as it is?Open walls make every option easier, which is why prewiring matters so much.
  3. Who will support it in five years?A system stays great when someone local knows your home and answers the phone.

A day in the house

Scenes turn many actions into one touch.

A scene sets lights, shades, audio and more together. We program them around your routines, so one press, keypad button or spoken sentence does the work.

Morning

Wake up

Shades rise and lights come up gently in the rooms you use first.

Evening

Dinner

Lighting warms, music starts and the kitchen and dining areas are set the way you like them.

Night

Movie night

Shades close, lights dim and the TV or projector and sound turn on together.

Bedtime

Good night

One button turns off the lights you choose and gets the house ready for the night.

Away

Leaving

Everything you want off goes off, and shades and lights follow a schedule while you are gone.

Scenes are examples. Yours are designed during discovery and can be adjusted after you live with them.

Behind the wall

The part you never see matters most.

A system is only as good as what is behind it. We build equipment racks that are organized, labeled and serviceable, and we plan where they live early, so they are out of sight and easy to reach.

  • Neat, labeled rack builds that a technician can service years from now
  • Wired reliability wherever it matters, backed by a properly designed network
  • Documentation and training so your household knows how everything works
  • Equipment placed for airflow, access and a clean look in the room

Prewiring and construction

The best time to wire is before the walls close.

Prewiring keeps every option available later, even if you automate nothing today.

New construction

Planned with your team

We join early and coordinate with your builder, architect and designer, so wiring and equipment locations are settled before the walls close and the finishes are protected.

  • Wire for shades, keypads, speakers, wireless access points and cameras while the walls are open
  • Rack and equipment locations planned with the architecture
  • One point of contact from framing through training

Remodels and existing homes

Designed around what is there

You do not need to start from scratch. We design around your existing walls and layout, and we plan each install to keep disruption and visible wiring to a minimum.

  • Wireless Lutron lighting and shade options that suit existing homes
  • Control, audio and video upgrades added room by room
  • Remodel walls opened for wiring are a good moment to prewire the rest

Questions, answered

Home automation questions we hear most.

Can I just do Lutron?

Absolutely. Lutron is a complete solution for lighting and shades, and you can add Josh.ai or Crestron later without replacing it.

Do I need Crestron to use Josh.ai?

No. Josh.ai connects directly to Lutron and many other brands. Crestron is optional.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Professionally installed Lutron and Crestron systems keep running scenes, keypads and schedules locally. Remote access from your phone pauses until the internet returns.

Why not just use Alexa or Google Home?

They are great for a few smart plugs. A professionally designed system gives you reliability, privacy, engraved keypads and a local team that supports you when something changes.

Is it a mistake to skip automation?

Not at all, as long as you prewire. The mistake to avoid is closing up walls without the wiring you might want in five years.

Can you add automation to a home that is already built?

Yes. We design around your existing walls and layout, and plan each install to keep disruption and visible wiring to a minimum.

Do you work with builders and architects?

Yes. We join early, coordinate wiring and equipment locations with your team and protect the finishes so the technology is built in right. Builders and designers can learn more on our Trade Partners page.

Who supports the system after the install?

We do. Every project includes documentation and training, and our Client Concierge Plan keeps a local team on call when you need help.
